Isagenix First Impressions

I am a few days into my Isagenix 30 Day program. The program consists of 26 Shake days, during which you do have 2 meal replacing shakes and one meal. You can also have little snacks throughout the day if you're hungry. You also choose 4 separate days during the month to be Cleanse Days. On these days you are primarily drinking a shake that cleanses your body (without the typical cleanse side effects!) You also have some snacks throughout those days as well.

I started the program a few days later than expected because I ended up getting the stomach flu. When I got the stomach flu, I lost 11 lbs in two days. Eleven. I saw a number on the scale that I haven't seen in a while, and was a little bummed that this would be my Isagenix start weight, considering once I started eating again I should have definitely put some of that weight back.

I'm 4 days in and not only have I maintained that weight, I've lost 2 lbs! I took my measurements a few nights ago, and have also lost a little over 8 inches total in the places I measured, primarily in my stomach, hips, and thighs (awesome!) [Also noting that during this 4 day stretch the only workout I have had so far is once, this morning.]

One of my biggest worries was being hungry all the time, but I can honestly say I can barely get through both shakes because they are so filling. One day I only ate one meal and one shake!

I love to blend the shakes with powdered peanut butter or frozen berries, depending if they are chocolate or vanilla.  There are other supplements you take throughout the days, and I am surprised and pleased to say that I do enjoy/like the taste of all of the products, including the cleanse drink.

All around, this seems like a program that won't be hard to stick with for the entire 30 days. It gives you wiggle room on certain things, and you don't have to feel like you are starving yourself or on a diet.

Yesterday I had my meal at lunch for my nephews birthday party. I had a taco, some chips and guacamole, and even had a cupcake minus the frosting. :) I didn't feel like I was cheating myself because I know how much good I'm doing my body with these products compared to my normal diet.

I am excited to see my results at the end of the week and also excited for the two friends who have already gotten on board to do this with me! It will be nice to have the added accountability.
